Janas Ensemble

L’ensemble JANAS è nato dal desiderio della clavicembalista Paola Erdas di approfondire alcune tematiche in area italiana e spagnola nel periodo storico che va dalla fine del Rinascimento al Barocco.
L’ideale di bellezza in musica, tra sacro e profano, nei territori spagnoli all’epoca del Siglo de Oro è il filo conduttore della prima realizzazione discografica, dal titolo Hermosuras.
Un’ inquadratura che si allarga dalle fate della tradizione mitologica sarda (le Janas, appunto) ad un orizzonte più vasto, di più ampio respiro che spazia dall’Italia alla Francia alla Spagna al resto d’Europa.
Tra i collaboratori dei quali Paola si avvale: Lorenzo Cavasanti e Dorothee Oberlinger (tra i migliori flautisti barocchi della loro generazione), il violinista Alessandro Ciccolini, il violoncellista Jorge Alberto Guerrero e Antonio Fantinuoli, il soprano Lia Serafini, Vanni Moretto, Marco Muzzati, Franco Pavan.

The Janas project originates from the requirement to face a sixteenth and seventeenth century repertoire with a viewpoint centered on the historical deepening, in the widest sense of the term, in an aesthetics that never loses of sight the quest for the absolute beauty of the sound, a subject Paola Erdas has always cared very much about.
A framing that goes from the Janas, the mythological Sardinian fairies, to a wider horizon, a far-reaching one, sweeping from Italy to France and Spain to the rest of Europe.

Paola avails herself of many collaborators, among them : Lorenzo Cavasanti and Dorothee Oberlinger (among the best recorder players of their generation), the cellist Jorge Alberto Guerrero, the soprano Lia Serafini, the theatre and historical dance specialist Deda Cristina Colonna, Antonio Fantinuoli, Marco Muzzati, Vanni Moretto, Franco Pavan.
